January Light: Ailsa Craig (2)

Gallivanting at home and abroad. Words by me, photos (mainly) by him.
It’s a strange island when you are on it. Would not like to be stranded there. Surprisingly remote and lonely atmosphere, despite thousands of noisy seabirds in season..

I have never been on it, but I would like to.

Just looked it up and I see it was filmed on Culzean beach. Could see Arran too in one of the stills.

I recognised the distinctive shape of the island straight away. Especially after being reminded via your photos.

Thanks again – as with anything good, John is the photographer, but I apply brilliant editing to meet the challenge.

It was such a lovely day – this was last week on our way home from a couple of days “twixmas” break. The other days had not been good weather – just our luck!
