WalkingSquares: Stockingfield Bridge again!

Stockingfield Bridge: the man bottom left is operating a drone – I would love to see what he captured!

One more day at the bridge before I move on to something else for Becky’s WalkingSquares! Yesterday, I was back there with John and we took a different route home. Rather than go back onto the canal, we walked up behind the viewing platform and out one of the gates leading to the community of Ruchill which, for the first time, is connected for walkers and cyclists to Maryhill and Gilshochill (say GIL-shee-hil) on the other side of the canal. We then returned by road.

We also passed some more works of art in progress: an A-shaped plinth (I wonder what will be there?) and an old car emerging from a muddy bank. I love this place!

  1. Hi Anabel – I guess you should/could have asked him if he’d send you his video … drones have advantages (and obnoxious uses too) . Stockingfield Bridge is an extraordinary structure – no wonder it wonder it won the Engineers Award … and yes I look forward to what the new art will become – cheers Hilary
