April Squares: Calgary Tower

In the first few days of Becky’s #SquareTops challenge I looked at various places in the US where we felt on top of the world. Now it’s time to move to Canada and our Rockies trip of 2017. We flew into Calgary and climbed the Calgary Tower soon after we arrived. These are my feet as I stand at the very top, looking down through a rather scary glass window. My knees feel quite wobbly remembering this!

Original post: Calgary.

  1. I have stood on the glass floor of the CN Tower in Toronto, which was quite terrifying. However, the glass was scratched so it didn’t give quite the same effect as your Calgary Tower photo. Excellent shot.

  2. I’d definitely get the wobbles initially! Brilliant shot .. .I’ve only been to Calgary once, and didn’t think we did anything here apart from arrive, but a new suitcase and head off into the Rockies. However your pic is bringing back memories (and wobbles!)

  3. Funny how being able to see below our feet like that will give us the wobblies when being on that New River Bridge probably wouldn’t. My wobbliest knees experience was my first hot air balloon ride.

  4. A small hint to remove the glass reflections when taking photographs through glass is to place the lenses straight onto the glass. Perhaps more appropriate for phone cameras.

  5. You’re braver than me. It took several attempts and my son’s embarrassed prompting for me to walk on the glass floor in Auckland’s Sky Tower.
