April Squares: Budapest
From our spring break in Budapest in 2017, here’s John on top of the world above the Danube. We’re climbing Gellért-hegy (Gellért Hill) which is topped by the Liberation Monument. I bet we’d all like to have a spring break this year. Hang on in there!

Must be amazing to visit – great view down over the Danube … and yes I’d love to go!! All the best – Hilary

That’s a nice elevated position from which to see the city. I guess we all have spring breaks and Easter vacations to look forward to again in the future.

I hope so. We should have been away this week but have moved our booking to August. Maybe things will have improved by then.

We were supposed to be in Tasmania now for two weeks with Kevin of Kevtoberfest fame and his lovely wife. 😦 Oh well, we have made tentative plans to go in September but who knows if that will be possible.

Budapest is simply beautiful and that is a great shot. I remember seeing that monument but it was more for communism then since I was there back in 1982

John’s smile looks as charming as ever against that gorgeous backdrop. Never been here but so want to visit. Perhaps it will be my next armchair destination.

Looks very familiar, except for the trees having leaves when we visited on a city trip in the late summer of 2017. 🙂

That would probably have looked prettier! This was March, so very early in the year.
