April Squares: Ambleside ambles

Did I mention that we had to postpone a short break in the Lake District recently? I did? Oh well, I won’t mention it again then. Here’s a couple of top shots from our last visit in June 2018. John is on the summit of Loughrigg Fell and I am at a viewpoint above Windermere.

We both felt on top of the world, despite the aches and pains which I chronicle in my original post about the week, Ambles from Ambleside. This post is linked to the wondrous Becky’s #SquareTops challenge. Today she has a gallery featuring all current participants – over 50! Follow the link to have a look.

  1. Ah now, you’re teasing me! John is standing on decidedly dodgy looking stones and I fear for him. I have a balance problem and a history of falling backwards (4 herniated discs as proof) so I just gaze on this in awe.

  2. Don’t remind me! I haven’t started on the gallery yet 😦 I do usually visit as many as I can each day, but you can never keep up 😦 I hope Monday was happy, Anabel 🙂 Did Mum have chocolate for Easter, or isn’t she bothered? I won’t ask about yourself 🙂
