One Word Sunday: Doors

I haven’t joined Debbie’s One Word Sunday challenge before but this week’s subject, Doors, was just too tempting. It gives me a chance to show off the beautiful Francesholm, and below I have added a selection of other varnished doors from around Glasgow’s West End – although the white house was snapped more for the painted border and the spider on the wall!
I love seeing house names in stained glass windows above doors. A lovely collection of doors here.

Fantastic selection of doors, Anabel. I have always marvelled at how often I got away with taking photos of people’s homes, and not one opened their door. Luck, I suppose.

Thanks Suzanne. Yes, luck. All of these are serendipitous except Francesholm which I passed many times before I got a picture with the storm doors shut!

They are, especially the older ones. The stonework is amazing too.
