SquaresRenew 17: Glass of Thrones

Glass of Thrones

One of Belfast’s burgeoning industries is film. Titanic Studios is one of the largest film studios in Europe, possibly best known for producing Game of Thrones. Dotted along the Maritime Mile are six Game of Thrones stained glass windows, Glass of Thrones, showing iconic moments from the saga. Clearly we missed one because I can only find photographs of five. Also, not having seen GofT, I can’t tell you what any of them represent. However, I do like the King on his throne in the post header image!

  1. I love the stained glass windows and especially the “king” on his throne! I never saw Game of Thrones either. The first episode had so much gratuitous violence I decided not to continue. I’m having a hard time making it through Shōgun for the same reason.

  2. G of T could have went to Scotland until Ireland offered a better deal. Lovely windows.

  3. I’m another one who hasn’t seen it, but then we don’t have Netflix either. I like the glass though and love the king. He looks proper proud of himself 😂
