Feels very Spanish seeing a shrine like this. Well apart from the weather!!

There were more shrines in the islands last time we visited (though not on this scale, smaller roadside ones) but many seem to have disappeared.

The southern part of the Outer Hebrides is overwhelmingly Catholic. The north is Presbyterian!
