April Squares: Cockleroy Hill
This image shows one of three short walks taken on a cold, wet day in May 2015. They took us from prehistory through to the very contemporary gas refineries of Grangemouth, which you can see below me here as I stride purposefully along the top of Cockleroy Hill in West Lothian.

It looks quite lovely. I’m wondering if you were walking fast because it was chilly.

Chilly, and a day of sudden showers, so trying to beat them!

I like that area. Plenty to see and do in rural splendour with the unique oddity of Grangemouth petrochemical plant as a surreal backdrop.

There are refineries in the southeast part of Philadelphia, which is about 30 miles from my town. What a mess that area of Philly is.
