Credit to John for that one of course! It’s such a weird setting for a castle. It must have been even weirder when it was surrounded by shipyards – I’m glad it survived.

The castle is interesting – haven’t been inside for a few years, and not sure when it will reopen. As far as I know, Historic Scotland haven’t made and pronouncements, but the National Trust for Scotland are saying some of their properties might not open till 2022!

We haven’t even begun to talk about starting up walks on the ground yet. Doors Open in September is going digital and that’s almost our last outing for the season normally, so I guess it will be next Spring.
