WalkingSquares: Stockingfield Bridge again!

One more day at the bridge before I move on to something else for Becky’s WalkingSquares! Yesterday, I was back there with John and we took a different route home. Rather than go back onto the canal, we walked up behind the viewing platform and out one of the gates leading to the community of Ruchill which, for the first time, is connected for walkers and cyclists to Maryhill and Gilshochill (say GIL-shee-hil) on the other side of the canal. We then returned by road.
We also passed some more works of art in progress: an A-shaped plinth (I wonder what will be there?) and an old car emerging from a muddy bank. I love this place!
That’s quite a bridge! You’ll have to keep us updates on what happens with the A-shaped plinth. 🙂

I definitely will. I’ve been photographing the site regularly for two years and shall continue.

What an interesting walk, Anabel. That poor old jalopy has seen better days. 🥲

I don’t think it’s going to get very far these days!

I love the look of that bridge! And I do wonder what that man is doing with his drone?

Probably getting the best view of the bridge! I think it must look amazing from above with the whole layout on view.
