WalkingSquares: Dunnideer

A photograph to prove, after yesterday’s misty post, that we did get some views of the rolling Aberdeenshire farmland while we were away last month. Lush and green, isn’t it? There is, of course, a reason for that!
You can also see Bennachie from where we failed to get any view at all.
Linked to Becky’s WalkingSquares.
This is just so lush looking.

Very much! Clearly, all that rain serves a good purpose!

It is a lovely view, and (even better) we had it all to ourselves.

Isn’t it pretty! We’ve been in eastern Victoria and it’s so green there – same reason I suspect. 😄☔️

Yes, you don’t get that amount of green without a lot of rain!

Yes, glad we saw it from above somewhere! Though this hill wasn’t much more than a pimple.

Hi. Fertile land. What crops are grown in that region?

It’s some of the best agricultural land in Scotland. It grows barley and wheat as well as grazing cattle and sheep. Aberdeen Angus beef is considered very high quality. As a veggie I can’t comment!

As a non-veggie I can confirm that Aberdeen Angus beef is excellent. And I also lived next door to some when I lived in Johannesburg. They have very rough tongues!

Ugh! Not sure I would want to experience that!

They were calves and used to poke their heads through the fence, my son who was a toddler at the time was letting them lick his hand and giggling so much I had to see why!
