WalkingSquares: Burgh House

Taken on a wander through Hampstead before meeting John’s sister and her husband for lunch. Burgh House was built in 1704 and now houses a local history museum. Unfortunately, that wasn’t open the day we were there, but the café was, so it made a good coffee stop. We even sat outside – in November! You can see the awning to the left of the house – and here we are under it. We’re even squared for Becky’s WalkingSquares.
What a pretty house! I’m glad at least the cafe was open!

Very pretty from the outside – still hope to see inside some day!

It is a good stop. I’ve been not that long ago while wandering around. Like most others I’ve not done the museum. Coffee always seems a priority!!

Exactly! Everything stops for coffee.

We’ve never been to Hampstead but it’s definitely on my list for the next time we’re in England.

It’s pretty with, not surprisingly, lots of plaques to famous people. And we found Constable’s grave.

Noticed that effect before down there on trips. A definite jump in temperature once you get past Bristol going south.
Disadvantage being that summers in the Home Counties are now reaching 35 to 40 degrees which is too hot for most folk.
