SquaresRenew 2: Birthday Boy

21 again

The day we travelled to Belfast was John’s birthday. When we got to our hotel room we were delighted by a surprise delivery of Prosecco (as he has a loyalty card for the hotel group they knew his date of birth). This was a lovely prelude to our meal in Nu Delhi, just around the corner.

It was a Monday evening and we were amazed by how busy the restaurant was – this was true of every night we were there. Belfast has a great food scene – you could say it was burgeoning, as were our waistlines with the amount of food we ate!

  • Move forward
  • Reconstruct
  • Renew
  • Burgeoning

  1. That’s a nice touch on behalf of the hotel. The meal in the restaurant looks like it would have been great. We found the food in Ireland was great quality. Bernie

  2. Belated birthday wishes to John! That was a lovely touch from the hotel. I’ve heard great things about the Belfast food scene. I move over to Belfast soon and already have a list of places to try. After almost give years of rural living, it will be a novelty to have so many options on the doorstep!

  3. Happy Birthday to John…We were in Belfast in 2014 and loved the town. We didn’t have much time to really take in the city so we probably would need to go back one of these days…If it wasn’t so far for us!

  4. he looks well pleased! Happy birthday John. I am sure with all the cycling he does his waist will not burgeon (?) at all – unlike mine.
