Squares Renew 12: on your bike!

Bicycle street art: revolution

John missed his bicycle while we were away in Ireland, but we found some appropriate street art for him! Every turn of the wheel is a revolution fits the theme of moving forward both literally and in terms of climate change by finding more green ways to travel.

We found a big yellow bike stand in the Titanic Quarter:

And the Duke of York pub in Commercial Court is keen on bikes, umbrellas and old signs. The sign I’ve had to cut to square reads in full Come in soberly, drink moderately, depart quietly and call again. Good advice!

  • Move forward
  • Reconstruct
  • Renew
  • Burgeoning

  1. Hi Anabel – this one I did admire … very creative – as you’ve been cutting it down to square size! I hope you stopped off for a pint … and left quietly … cheers Hilary

  2. One thing I did notice was the increased amount of bikes and bike lanes in Glasgow recently. You really have to be hyper alert now walking round the city centre district as they come at you from every direction. And they are mostly silent as they sneak up behind you. Bob. BSS.
