April Squares: Shenandoah

Like yesterday’s photograph, this one is from 2014’s trip to Virginia and West Virginia. Here I am on top of the world at a lookout along the Skyline Drive in Shenandoah National Park.

Linked to Beck’s marvellous April Squares Challenge – #SquareTops.

Great photo! The Blue Ridge Mountains are my neck of the woods.

Anabel, I am finally catching up with my blog reading after a bit of an absence. Great photo of you and the view.

What a great view. Looks like a bit of a climb but well worth the incredible views.

Always the best way to get those epic photos isn’t it? Tough climbs aren’t as good as they are cracked up to be.

Indeed! The trouble with Shenandoah is that the road runs along the ridge, so all the hikes start by going down and you have to climb back up when youโ€™re tired.
