Hi Anabel! This post is hilarious! Yes, it’s monsoon season in most parts of Asia now, which syncs with your summer time. My home country is being battered by typhoons starting July every year!
It probably does get dreary having rainy day after rainy day. It’s good that people can find some humor in it. Right now I’m jealous. I’m having a hard time convincing myself to venture out and go to “book club” tonight. It’s 88F (31C) and humid, then tonight it’s another storm with damaging winds and large hail. The dog will keep Jimmy up half the night and hopefully that will be the worst of it!
I was reading a book earlier on which had a character mention ‘False Spring’ which was described as when the winter weather starts to get warmer as though spring is on its way, only for it to suddenly get cold again.
My response to that was ‘In Scotland we call that Summer’.
This is hilarious….unless one happens to live in Glasgow, I suppose. 🙂

Indeed! Though (whispers) we’ve had several days of sunshine so far this week.

It’s probably a bit cheeky of them to make the comparison! But it raised a smile with me.

That’s awesome, haha. We are currently experiencing a late summer (yay!) so it’s not ridiculously humid yet, but there is a typhoon on the way.

Hmm, maybe I’ll stick with the Scottish summer! Not actually raining yet today.

Yes, that sort of heat / humidity can be oppressive. Yesterday was sunny but I’ve just got up this morning – and it’s raining!

We are dry, dry, dry. At least we’ve had some relief from the heat.

Today, I got wet, wet, wet! Again. Maybe we need to swap weather some time.

LOL! Here in Italy, through the last week, summer has been a phenomenon akin to a hoven.

We should be so lucky! Mind you, I don’t like it too hot, we northern types can’t cope.

Well, sometimes southern types can’t cope either. But then, I was a penguin in another life, so that’s sure my problem 😉
