January Light: lightship

Another guiding-light today – not a lighthouse, but a lightship. North Carr is the last remaining Scottish lightship and has been moored in Dundee since 2007. Linked to Becky’s square photography challenge, January Light, words ending in light.

  1. I nearly posted a shot of this but wasn’t brave enough to break the rules! I may have summoned the courage before the month is out – especially if I run out of _light images 🙂
I visited it about a year ago and also heard it would be renovated.

  2. The North Carr looks like it has seen many days on the water. I Googled the definition of a lightship and learned how it played an important role in safety. See, Anabel, I learned something new from you, again.
